Oral Balanced Electrolytes

Electrolytes are minerals in the horse’s body fluids and tissues that are involved in muscle contraction, thirst regulation, nerve function, and maintenance of blood pH.

Horses use sweating as their major means of evaporative cooling due to the effects of hot weather and exercise. Electrolytes are essential supplements for performance horses that are competing regularly, as they are needed to replace the minerals lost from sweat and to increase the thirst response due to water loss.

FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS:

Enclosed Level Scoop measures 35 g.

• Adult Horses: Feed 70 g per day during training and performance or as directed by the veterinarian or Equine Nutritionist.
• Hot Weather, Moderate to Heavy Work, and Traveling:
  Feed 70 g twice daily, reconstituted in clean water during training and performance or as directed bythe  Veterinarian or Equine Nutritionist.

Note: These recommendations are for horses with a mature body weight of 500 kg. Adjust according to the weight of the horse.

Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Calcium Carbonate, Magnesium Carbonate, Bioplex mineral premixes of Zinc, Manganese, and Copper, Dextrose, Maltodextrin, Sucrose, in a palatable base.
