Calcium is one of the most important nutritional elements for optimal bone and dental health. Calcium citrate is the most easily absorbed and does not require stomach acid for absorption, and is absorbed equally with or without food.

Calcium is an essential mineral for strong and healthy bones and teeth in horses. Its importance in the nutrition of pregnant mares, weanlings, and growing horses, especially young racehorses, is well known.

Calcium and phosphorus comprise most of the mineral matter in the horse’s body. Approximately 80% of the phosphorus and 99% of the calcium are located in the bones and teeth, so they are vital in the formulation of the diet.

Calcium also plays a critical role in muscle contraction, blood clotting, and enzyme regulation.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Enclosed Heaped Scoop measures 25 g.

• Juvenile Horses: Recommended 50 to 75 g to be mixed with the horse’s well-balanced diet or as directed by the veterinarian or Equine nutritionist.
• Adult Horses: Feed 100 g to 125 g to be mixed with the horse’s well-balanced diet or as directed by the veterinarian or Equine nutritionist.

Note: Adjust according to the weight of the horse and its condition.
